Everybody has a dream, a goal to reach. But have you ever felt the intense desire and hunger to follow your dreams, so intense that it hurts. Well that’s the story of my life. A strange girl who is a very talented writer but lives in a place where she cant sprout and grow. Never really identified with a group of people always had different thoughts and was never really understood. Mot even by her parents. All her life she searched for happiness and peace and acceptance. She found her oasis. A dirty one and aloud one but it was still an oasis, that place was new York somewhere where she could thrive and be her creative self somewhere she could pursue her dreams free of all the conservatives. That place is new York. The city of dreams and love. I sat in the middle of Washington Square Park and took it all in. the people the everything. Someway somehow in this dangerous overcrowded city I felt safe and at home and I never wanted to leave. Save me new York city. Save me from a small town.
1. the ability to explore!
As a girl who lived various places in the south, I’ve seen and done it all and all of its amazingness and I can also say that new Yorkers have a distinct advantage. There’s something new to explore or find every day. It’s more than just the empire state building and Rockefeller center with the statue of liberty. There’s so many interesting areas you can explore from Harlem to the village to queens. It’s like I’m a little girl in the candy shop
