How The Holy Trinity Is Leading Feminism

Ever since I was a little girl no matter how old I was, I remember beyonce inspiring me. From me dressing up in a bathing suit thinking it was a leotard and my play princess heels dancing in front of the tv to her crazy in love video, to me using her lyrics to tell myself I can do any and everything I want to. Then Rihanna came around. I dint really get into her untile my pre-teen years. I could relate to her as a fellow Pisces with her wide range of feelings and emotions. I also loved the way she could go from boss bee to very vulnerable and in love in one album, unapologetic for example she comes out swinging with “phresh out the runway” and then slows it down . Nicki minaj too. She arrived on the scene later than bee and rih but still managed to assert her dominance over the rap game as a female. She expresses her sexuality in her explicit lyrics and then shows her true self in songs like “the crying” game. All three of these women have contributed to the feminist movement whether on purpose or not. They give women the confidence to go out and chase their dreams no matter what anybody has to say. To break boundaries and stereotypes. To be independent. Those trait of confidence I carry with me everyday
