"you cant wait to be a woman... until you are a woman." !

on Wednesday, my friend Emily and i went on a nature walk for class. we walked outside our huge school into the crisp morning air and walk around campus until we found a spot where we could sit and talk right across the from the track in front of the baseball fields. we talked about everything from grades to boys. we even brought up college and how as juniors it really wasnt that long before we were going to college. we were average people from average households where everything wasn't handed to us, and we were the farthest thing from being rich and sheltered. mommy and daddy didnt pay for everything and we didnt have private tutors to make sure we passed class.i came from a household where my mom made me get a job as soon as i was 16. we were coming closer and closer to being grown and we were getting thrown into the harsh realities of adulthood whether we liked it or not. from a teenagers perspective you see adulthood as this amazing place to be where you have nothing but freedom. all throughout tv adulthood is glamorized, the women we look up to se.em to have perfect lives. but what they show on reality television is anything but reality . you cant wait to be a woman...until you are a woman. not the glamorized woman who gets everything bought for them, but the woamn who has to work her ass off for everything she owns. from the hair shes rocking to the freshly manicure nails she hands her credit card to you with to. the laud red bottoms you hear clacking when she enter the room. and finally her louis vuitton purse shes rocking
